Do you love books? Most of these are not available anywhere else. There are over 1400 different titles. 80% of what is offered is less than $10. It is a small price to help your child's future development. Reading is the essential most important thing that they need in order to learn and succeed in future topics. They need to be able to read to learn math and do math problems, to learn science, read music, learn a foreign language, read the newspaper, read legal documents, etc. Many people ask me about the sticker books. So, how do they promote literacy?
"abc Sticker Book" is great for learning the alphabets. These letters are small letters, not the capital letters. It is suggested that they learn the small letters first. Help them with one page at a time. Break it up into different days. To start, talk about the letter, look at the letter at the bottom of the page. The alphabet list is on the bottom of each page. How does the a sound? Say it, point to it, trace it with your finger. Have them do it. Let's find some things that begin with the letter a. Point to the word and read it. If it is a simple, 3 or 4 letter word, as in ant, say that a-n-t spells ant. Say the sound of the a in the word. Let them stick the sticker on the page where you see the letter a. Then do the same for b, which is on the same page. How does the be sound? Say it, point to it, and trace it with your finger. Have them do it. Let's find some things that begin with the letter b. Review what they learned that day, the letter a. How does it sound? What begins with the letter a? The stickers are there on the page. And so on. They are making their own book of alphabets. Each day work on another page. Learning in bits and pieces and reviewing what was learned the previous day. Before you know it, he will be able to read many words. Each page takes probably about 5 minutes to do.
"1 2 3 Sticker Book" is a colorful sticker book with over 150 stickers that help them to learn the numbers. Work on 1 page at a time. Break it up into different days. Talk about what he sees on the page. How many of them are there? Talk about the numbers. Point to the number 1. Let him find the number 1 sticker. Let him place it next to the picture that has only 1. Point to the picture of the object and count that there are only 1 of this object. Go to the next one. What are these? How many of them? Let's find the number 2 and stick it next to the diggers. And so on until you finish the page. Talk about what he did. Praise him. Review. For the day, count things up to 5 with him. Do the next page another day. Review what he did previously. Then follow directions for next page. Help him find 1 car and place next to the number 1. It is such an easy book to help them with and children love stickers. They are also learning to turn the page from left to right and doing the stickers from top to bottom. This develops their hand and eye co-ordination, their listening skills and following directions. They are learning new vocabulary. Learning in bits and pieces is less stressful and they love being able to succeed. This creates a book that they can go back to and see what they did. Their own 1 2 3 book.
