How much TV should children watch? Is it better to read more or use computer more?
I found this article to be very interesting. How do you feel about it?

"Studies show that reading develops imagination, induction, reflection and critical thinking, as well as vocabulary," Greenfield said. "Reading for pleasure is the key to developing these skills. Students today have more visual literacy and less print literacy. Many students do not read for pleasure and have not for decades."
When students were tested after class lectures, those who did not have Internet access performed better than those who did.

I think it's a sad reflection of our digital age. I am happy to say that my boys love books, and my not quiet 5 year old can and does read on his own, for his own enjoyment.
